‘A little bit of something is better than 100% of nothing …’

Amarillo Slim has improved throughout the heats of the William Hill Greyhound Derby winning its semi-final heat, ‘doing handstands’!

Although it should find the mighty Westmead Hawk a formidable opponent it is still a good bet at 4/1 with Ladbrokes to win the race. It is no good as a 1,2, place bet ¼ odds, as all you will get: is your stake money back.

But…

All you ‘each-way thieves’ with fancy ante post vouchers (25/1; 20/1; 16/1 and 8/1, ¼ odds a place 1234) on Amarillo Slim in the Derby next Saturday at Wimbledon, as advised in this blog, should now bet on Amarillo Slim without Westmead Hawk at 6/4 Ladbrokes prices (there may be better else where).

If Amarillo wins you might be kicking yourself as you could have had 4/1. But you have the ante post vouchers, with win bets on them, and if the Hawk beats Amarillo into 2nd place – you still win! It’s not about courageous punting – it is about using your money in a strategic way.

‘Lump on’ Amarillo at 6/4 Ladbrokes, without the mighty Hawk!

Come racing!!
